“ I'm in Forest City once a month and I never miss Slim's when I'm there. I've probably eaten the menu twice, including the Not So Slim - which is incredible by the way. The staff is super friendly and fast which s great for my lunch schedule when I need to eat and run. Love this place and I'll be back soon! ”
“ Not of the healthiest but every time I go I have to have the Not So Slim burger!!! Its addictive!! It is a burger inside of 2 grilled cheese sandwiches! I also love their fresh made fries with their malt vinegar. Our littlest lady loves their hotdogs and this time my honey got the Philly which was pretty good. Definitely recommend!! ”
“ Boo was told about this place by a coworker. We got to Forest City a lot more than Spartanburg. We love the small-town feel and Chesnee is not hitting on much. We have a very select number of restaurants. I am a true burger and homemade fries kinda girl. This is my favorite meal and I love new places. So we found it on a side street in downtown Forest City. Never seen the place who knew. We got parking in the front of the Slims. Went in and got seated immediately. They have a top floor. Then a set of stairs that go down and a bottom floor. The waitress was very nice. I loved the vibe of the place it just felt homey. They said the bar they did serve beer. It was more family-oriented than individuals. The food was delicious. I got a cheeseburger with Chili. mayo lettuce. Fries with homemade honey mustard . Boo got a cheeseburger all the way with onion rings. B got the burger with the top and bottom being grilled cheese sandwiches. He loves the show where the man eats the big meals. I think it's like man against food or something. He thought he could eat it all plus onion rings. Boy was he wrong he had to bring half the burger home. The meat was fresh the fries were crispy. I don't eat onions. They both said the onion rings were delicious. The only thing I wished for is I like the larger fries and not the shoestring fries. Most of the time you get a lot of end pieces. I understand why a restaurant would do this. They got further and they cook faster. I am simply giving my honest opinion as always. We will be back. ”

“ Food is generally extremely good. It's a bit inconsistent. Sometimes burger buns are buttered and grilled to perfection, other times completely 'raw'. However I'd still rate the food 5 stars for the price on the worst days. Service is 100% based on employee mood and whether there's a boyfriend or whatever sitting at the bar somewhere. If you walk in and 4 server girls are talk to a couple dudes at the end of the bar, don't expect a water refill. At the cheap price of food though, I pay for my service with either higher or minimum tips, as I don't feel there any default service charge on their low prices. Atmosphere......... It's.... A dinner /bar? That's what it is. ”
